The tabletop is a ‘bookmatch’ – meaning 2 consecutively cut slabs from the tree are joined down the center.  This particular piece also exhibits black line spalting (patterns created by fungus) as well as a bark inclusion on one end.

The concrete legs are cast against rough sawn barn wood to add texture and depth.
